Lee County Commission Meeting Tonight, Trash on the Agenda!

If you didn't get enough fireworks on July 4th, you may want to attend the Lee County Commission Meeting at the courthouse in Opelika this evening at 5pm CST. Tonight's agenda is chock full of garbage, and by that we mean that predictably in a surprise to nobody, the cost of trash collection to taxpayers is going to increase along with the scope of the county bureaucracy that oversees it. Topping it all off is the ongoing controversy over citizen comments continuing to be excluded from the minutes and live streams of the meetings, despite protests from citizens and even Commissioner Lagrand himself.
