Statewide Constitutional Amendments

Amendment 1 - NO.

According to the Alabama Constitution, one of the main duties of the legislature is to pass a budget. The legislature should organize and run itself better instead of changing the rules so they can avoid their main responsibility. The additional vote for Budget Isolation Resolution that is currently needed every time they avoid passing a budget serves as an additional check against bad government.

Sign the petition to restore the Ten Commandments to the Alabama Judicial building

Supporters of displaying the Ten Commandments can now "go on the offensive" and display them on public sites. The 2022 case of Kennedy v. Bremerton reversed the legal basis for removing Ten Commandments displays and halting other Biblical references in the public domain.
